COACHING FAQs

  • This is a great clarifying question!

While consultants offer advice based on their opinions and counselors focus on healing therapy and diagnosis, coaches focus on the present and future. They use powerful questions, active listening, intuition, and techniques to help clients achieve their goals and move into the future they desire while holding them accountable.

An easy way to think about it is that therapy looks back, and coaching looks forward.

By utilizing these tools, a coach can identify the client’s needs, obstacles, and future aspirations while recognizing the client is a creative, resourceful, and whole person, and holding them as the expert and wisdom of their own life.

  • This is a big question since there’s still confusion around what a “coach” actually does. Though I can definitely be called a life coach, I prefer personal growth coach because I help clients address all aspects of their lives, not just specific issues. Through coaching, clients discover new directions and opportunities while working towards their goals.

You’ll experience growth in all areas of your life throughout our coaching engagement. We will work towards your initial goals and also meet you where you are at any given point knowing that, as you explore yourself and address what comes up in our conversations, your desires may evolve.

We’ll take who you are now and who you are growing into becoming into consideration throughout the coaching relationship.

  • I work primarily with women in mid-career transition. Most of my clients have 10-20 years of work experience and are looking for a new adventure or pivot. Together we get to dream bigger dreams and infuse confidence into their job searches through coaching, homework, and résumé consulting.

Since I split my time between Milan and San Francisco, I work with clients all over the world, across time zones remotely and am flexible in arranging our sessions.

  • The first few sessions, including the free intro consult and 90-minute Discovery Session, are spent getting down to the nitty-gritty of what you’d like to uncover and achieve with the coaching relationship. We’ll then move forward, based on your direction and our mutual accountability, in designing an action plan and getting you to your ideal destination in both your personal and professional life.

As your coach, I am your facilitator and guide who will cheer you on as you journey ahead. I will also be your accountability partner, and we’ll outline ways, together, I can best play that role so you feel supported and buoyed to success.

Now, calling a spade a spade, I know it can be hard opening up to someone new. Vulnerability is a soft space! And it can be very scary to let our guard down. My goal as your coach is to offer a space where you are seen, heard, valued, and championed. And, while our conversations may not always be easy or comfortable - I can actually assure you they will not - each one is in service of the larger goal of getting you to the life truly meant for you.

  • Here’s a question for you: Do you know what you want to get out of coaching? I found in my own experience with my coaches, that I never imagined ending up where I ended up. I had to be open to growing, and the process being painful, to really step into the life meant for me. The growth was in the journey itself.

Coaching can push us in ways we didn’t know were possible and into new levels of self-awareness and personal understanding. It’s in this new space we can truly see growth, change, and transformation.

My work with each client is nuanced, personalized, and very specific to you as an individual, what you want, and ultimately, where you’re going.

  • As your coach, I hold confidentiality in the highest regard, and nothing you share will leave our sessions or be transmitted to anyone else. With that said, a coach-client relationship is not a legally confidential relationship, and I would break confidentiality if there is any concern about a client potentially harming themself or others. This is non-negotiable because your safety is one of my top priorities!

  • If, after our initial consult, we think partnering together will be a successful match, you can easily book our 50-minute appointments through this site on the appointment page and through your own account. It’s up to you on whether you’d like to meet weekly or biweekly for 3- and 6-month engagements (weekly for one-month packages), though I ask we meet at least twice a month to ensure continuity and keep the momentum going!

  • Each session is scheduled with a personalized Google Meet, and a link will be sent with your appointment confirmation.

  • Co-Active coaching means “being in movement together”. There’s a heavy emphasis on being and doing, on how we’re showing up and what we’re doing as we show up.

Co-Active Professional Coach Training is widely recognized as the most rigorous professional coach training and certification program in the industry. The Co-Active coach training model spans over 5 modules (or courses), totaling 104 hours of learning and practice in a classroom environment. Each consecutive course became more elaborate and focused on the 3 foundations: Fulfillment, Balance, and Process. The concepts became concrete, yet fluid as they blended together in Synergy.

"Nicole helped me build a strong foundation to start my job search with!

I was laid off from my first tech industry job and very nervous about the job hunt. Working with her gave me confidence and certainty in what direction to take as I searched for work, and new tools for finding and applying to open positions. I am so grateful for her help!
